Here at Wakeboard UK we are committed to making a positive difference when it comes to supporting our female riders. We have ensured equality across all categories within the UK Nationals but that doesn’t just cut it! We’ve also put our money where our mouth is when it comes to equal prize money by guaranteeing it is equal across the categories which currently receive prize money.
Happy International Women’s Day!

Female participation hasn’t been as high as we would have wanted and to help rectify this, we have appointed a female participation manager (Sarah Partridge) to focus on this. Her remit includes developing a plan to encourage greater female participation across the sport. As part of this, Wakeboard UK supported the very first Ladies day in 2020, with female riders from the GB squad providing a free day of coaching for a mixture of age and abilities which went down a treat! We are aiming to build on this success throughout the upcoming season by offering more of these days across the UK.

Whilst female committee members continue to make up a fundamental part of Wakeboard UK, ensuring all decisions within the sport are fair and inclusive to all, it is an ongoing aim to further increase these numbers in the near future.
